the maternity leave policy for Cygnet health states 18 weeks half pay and then 13 weeks statutory pay.

im confused so does that mean 11 weeks unpaid?

my manager doesn’t know the policy or anything about it 👀 so I’m going to try and contact HR today.

hust wondering if anyone knows anything about this kind of thing?

The .gov website says SMP lasts 'up to' 39 weeks. Literature available on the internet suggests Cygnet staff with at least two years service get 8 weeks full pay ie during that period the statutory entitlement is topped up to full pay.

8+18+13=39.

So if you've not got 2 years it looks as though 8 weeks are missing in action.

In practice I suspect those without 2 years will get 6 weeks at 90% and the other 33 as part of the half/SMP mentioned above.
