NatWest says we cancelled product 😣

Hi.

May 6th we applied for our product switch, we did one and cancelled it instantly as it read as if payments were due to start straight away so we cancelled got the confirmation email, rang them and confirmed and they told us yeah it doesn’t it will start after our existing mortgage ends. So we applied, confirmation email etc.

Now today we got a letter to confirm we’d be going onto svr from September and j was like what? Thought maybe generic letter but rang anyway, she said to us we cancelled the product switch in 9th may I said we never and never had an email to confirm this? She said it said it was done online and I said yeah but again never done this nor have we an email to confirm it. She said she’ll send it off to be looked into but I’m proper stressing out as we never did this, I worked in mortgages and I kno never to leave and go on svr so why would I do this? Like I’m so confused what has happened here. We never got the first confirmation when we did it first time then cancelled and I’m wondering if the computer has picked it up and cancelled it because we cancelled the first one??? It was the same rate etc.

We applied for it, didn’t get the confirmation but we cancelled like in seconds we got that email at 315 Then spent 40 mins on phone then reapplied. Got the confirmation at 358pm and nothing ever since.

Anyone had this happen I’m so confused and upset as the payment amount is 300 more! Help. What should I do email complaints with the time stamps of what I’ve got in emails?

I’ve noticed my info says 9th may I think this is because we did it on a weekend so I’m thinking the applying and cancelling the first one has maybe cancelled the second confirmation. One out as it was done on a Saturday as the lady said it showed as cancelled on 9th which is a Monday. I’m extremely stressed as you can tell
