How long would you give it before chasing up new PIP claim

Made a new claim 8 weeks ago, had text
7 weeks ago to say it is with ATOS but I'm so anxious about the whole thing, would it be okay to call and see where it is up to

Assume ATOS provide the Health Care Professionals for PIP assessments in your area.

Eight weeks for a claim that needs a full assessment isn't exceptional. Might be worth a quick call to see if they can tell you the length of the current queue.

I might give them a call next week just to see how long to expect, it's the not knowing or I panic that they have sent something in the post and I've not received it... I'm a worrier
