And have any idea how long it's taken.

First time applying, started 3 weeks ago and had the text message to say it's been received by ATOS. No idea what happens next or how long to expect to wait.

@Tiredmum1223 did you get it ? Also do you mind me what health conditions you said/ as it worries me this will happen to me. Have mine this week xx

Tiredmum1223 · 18/02/2024 19:30

@Starrrz hello, sorry I've inky just seen your message.
Yes, I did get awarded higher rate for both. I had a phone call from the lady deciding whether I would be awarded it or not and went through what I didnt agree with and she then realised how much it had been played down/lied about.
I have Arthritis and Crohns. Good luck! Xx

Tiredmum1223 · 18/02/2024 20:34

It took about 5/6 weeks after I'd put in for the MR but from when I first applied to when I got awarded after MR it was about 5 months I think x

@pippa789 did u get it ?

Have you heard anything yet Starrrz?

Starrrz · 29/02/2024 09:18

@Babyroobs yes, my report had different things then what i said. The lady i had didnt listen to anything i was saying. I was explaining my heart condition symptoms and then she said right can u explain your heart condition now. My decision came yesterday, i was 2 points away from getting it :( x

InMySpareTime · 29/02/2024 09:24

@Starrrz get the report, and start a Mandatory Reconsideration based on the inaccuracies in the report. There's about a 20% chance of getting extra points at this stage, but it's a necessary step towards the Tribunal stage.
70% of Tribunals award more points to the claimant, as this is the stage when an impartial judge looks at the evidence rather than the earlier stages which are assessors trying to deny points.

Starrrz · 29/02/2024 09:48

@InMySpareTime i cant belive how they are lie. Its so u fair, im doing a complaint about her. That could of been somebody alot worse position then myself and she could of lied which is disgusting. She said i had a very good memory knowi g my conditions? I told her i had my notes, i even said i didn’t remember everything she asked. Of course im going to know my conditions im suffered for the last 5 years! She said i do t take medications when im on 8! She also wrote that im veey calm. I cried nearly the whole phone call. She said i take myself to appointments when i dont. Thats a lie. X

InMySpareTime · 29/02/2024 12:19

Yep, mine said I didn't sound like I was in pain, disputed my working memory problems because I could describe my conditions, said I have no issues cooking or preparing food because DH makes sure I eat something every day (and that I can chop food because I can sometimes do a jigsaw), said I have no issues washing and bathing because I can reach my toes on the 2 or 3 times a week I have the energy to wash, said I can navigate because I have a degree from 20 years ago.
They often use the fact you manage a car/pet/child as a reason to deny points but couldn't in my case as those are not applicable.

Sorry to hear that. If points were close to an award it's definitely worth asking for an MR.

Starrrz · 29/02/2024 20:53

@Babyroobs i got 6 for daily living and 4 for mobility. Im putting a complaint in as absolutely furious with the assessor. X
