Beginners' guide to self-employment and Universal Credit?

I haven't yet received the migration letter but understand we will be moving over to UC shortly. I have an idea that it's going to be a lot more hassle! DH's income fluctuates quite a lot but is easy enough to track. Accounting for expenses is harder, plus we chuck a bit of money into his pension sometimes.

I guess we'll have to do accounts on a monthly basis? Is there any info online with exactly how we'll have to report it? I haven't found any details on .gov.
