Housing benefit non dependents savings

Hello everyone,
I hope someone can help because I’ve searched all over Google with no answers.

I claim housing benefit, I have an adult daughter non dependent, I don’t get deductions because I get Pip.
My mother wants to move in with us, she is on a pension but she has savings over £16.000, will this affect my housing benefits?
Everytime I try to search for answer it just goes on about deductions.
I know my savings affect the claim, I don’t have any. But do non dependents savings count?
Please somebody help, thank you in advance

It's not something a benefit calculator would ask so I assume not. They may want details of her pension income but not savings.

The short answer is no. The capital rules apply to the claimant (ie. You). Your mother’s savings won’t affect your HB entitlement.

Ah thankyou guys.
I feel much better about the situation now. Thanks
