Car insurance premium

Hello! Anyone help with an estimate here on car insurance premium?

Someone (not seen so it'll be my 'fault' on the claim) damaged my car. Private estimates of between £700 and £1300 to sort it. Contacted car insurer - if I go through to claims, it will be counted against me. Excess is £250. How on earth can I work out what the impact will be on my monthly premium (a very reasonable £21. Barely drive anywhere. Never claimed. Not flash car!). Anyone have a similar experience and let me know what their premium went up by, please?

Had to name change as I have told this sad tale many times.
Had a tree branch fall on my big flashy car. Despite knowing whose tree it was and providing same to insurers , it still counted as my fault. So had to pay the excess.
it did a shit-load of damage - £’000s. My insurance premium went up by about £10 per month to £43. Given the damage cost you are being quoted , I would think you would be a good bit less, but ask your insurer to guide you, or speak to an independent broker
Good luck - it really sucks when it’s not your fault but you get lumbered.

Thank you. That's very helpful. And I'm really sorry that happened. How very irritating!!
