Student Finance - Maintenance loan and split parents

Can anyone help me with applying for a maintenance loan as a single parent? My daughter is about to go into her third year at uni. My decree nisi (or conditional order) has only just come through. So in previous years, me and her dad both completed the application and both submitted our salaries. This year, she will be only living with me and we want the loan based on only my salary. We have sent proof of divorce but I don't know how he should complete the application. Does he submit his financial information, or state that he doesn't support the application? Does anyone know? We are amicable but he isn't supporting us financially. Thank you in advance :)

I'm not sure but the SF Facebook page is very good and quick to answer. There's a couple of people man it all day. I had to ask my nth question this morning and got an answer in 5 minutes. I also rang them last week at about this time 6pm and got through straightaway.

Friend in a similar position phoned SF up.
You should be able to update your current application with the change of circumstances too. Call them with the relevent dates - when he stopped supporting financially / moved out, not receipt of decree nisi.

Thank you so much for replying. I called and they were really helpful. We shouldn’t have given fathers details if anyone else needs to know so now we just request that hes removed and it will be done just on my info. Thanks again!

Excellent that you sorted it! I had to ring again yesterday, I keep confusing myself. 🤣
