Critical illness insurance - diabetic

Hi, I've got T2 diabetes and I wanted to get critical illness cover in case something happens. Already tried some of the main places but they can't help... has anyone else had this issue?

You are best going through a broker who can search the whole of the market rather than trying different insurance companies directly yourself.

Diabetes will be covered, it's just that you may have to pay a higher monthly premium than standard rates to reflect the additional risk. Just like smokers will always pay more than non-smokers for the same cover.

Hi @danni1977 I could recommend a broker to you (by pm i don't know if we are supposed to name on here) but it can definitely be done. You may well have exclusions on your policy and premiums may be more than otherwise but will depend on many factors, worth looking into even if you end up with less cover than is ideal at least its something
