Car insurance for Ukrainian Refugee

I am a host for a Ukrainian refugee under the official Homes for Ukraine scheme. On phoning for a quote for car insurance the telephony agent said she
must have details of all driving incidents, claims etc even for when the Ukrainian was in the Ukraine warzone. I said to her you must be reading from the wrong script. This is someone in a war zone not driving around Reigate. ( Inane discussion followed regarding if driver is at fault when Russian bullets hit parked car ) In the end I gave up. My questions are ...Is a Ukrainian no claims bonus accepted by UK insurers? Does the insurer need details of the last 5 years driving history in Ukraine?

No idea about Ukraine, but when moving from abroad, most companies didn't accept DHs no claims bonus certificate.
I'd try another company, and not push for no claims transfer. Just see if they will insure!

“Telephony agent”?
Perhaps the issue was you were calling about car insurance in 1952?
They asked a perfectly reason question, about claims history.
Google will answer your foreign NCB question in seconds.
It sounds like you were making it hard, wittering on about wrong scripts and Russian bullets.
