How long did your maternity allowance take to get paid?

I qualify for maternity allowance, and have had all the paperwork confirming it etc. I requested that the payments start from early Feb when I finished work, but still haven't been paid anything yet.

Has anyone else had a delay in payments, is this a normal lag time? Getting a bit broke!

You get paid in arrears I think. If everything is fine, just keep checking your bank account. The money entered my account almost two weeks before the letter explaining everything arrived.

After checking your account, you can call them and ask. I claimed three years ago, so things might have changed.

I'm in same situation. Paperwork arrived saying I was getting mat allowance, I filled in and sent off the 2nd form saying I'd finished 5th Feb, still nothing. No payment or correspondence.

Did you get any confirmation that they had received your form? I got a text for the initial mat allowance application, but nothing to say they got the 2nd form.

Tried to call them Thursday and after going through the automated service to talk to someone it immediately hung up on me. Tried a few times now, it seems to automatically cut off the call if you choose to speak to someone 🙄
