Child Tax Credit question

closethedrawer · 23/02/2023 10:36

My DS is doing his GCSE's this year and turns 16 in June. He plans to go to college and study full time.

I currently get CTC. Am I correct in thinking I'll need to contact HMRC to say that he's carrying on in full time education? Will this constitute a change so they switch me to over to UC?

Thanks

There’s a part on tax credits online you can say your child is staying in further education. It won’t trigger a move to UC. I did the same for my ds last year.
