Specified Adult - NI credits for state pension

Just wanted to make you all aware of this option for those using informal family childcare.

www.gov.uk/government/publications/national-insurance-credits-for-adults-who-care-for-a-child-under-12-fact-sheet/specified-adult-childcare-credits-fact-sheet#how-to-apply

My mum has looked after my children ad hoc while I work, so I'm really thrilled that it looks like I can "give" her my NI stamp from child benefit for the years I've paid enough qualifying class 1 contributions, and possibly backdate this.

She is currently pre-retirement and a few years short of enough stamp to get the full state pension, due to caring responsibilities and low paid, part time work. It's worth a read if you might be in a similar position.
