Have you used worldremit before to make payments?

Just wondering if anyone has used WorldRemit before to make payments abroad?

Someone from India has offered a service for my business and has requested I make payment via WorldRemit.

I have never heard of it before so I just wanted to make sure it is safe etc.

What's wrong with using an IBAN number to make a payment from a UK bank to a bank abroad? I do this now and again. I've not heard of WorldRemit but a quick google search seems to suggest they are sound. I have an account with my bank that holds euros - I convert money and put it into that account only when the conversion rates are high - I keep a couple of thousand Euros in it - then I pay using an IBAN number from that Euros account.

My sister in France uses a Wise account (phone app) for making payments in other currencies - I don't know much about it.

Thank you for the reply, this is how my contact requested payment, I would have been happy to pay by ban transfer.
