Should I expect to hear something from HMRC re: child benefit?

Didn't realise that it's important to still send off the forms even if you earn above £60k until I had my second child. Was told it apparently makes it easier for the kids to get their national insurance numbers when they're old enough, so filled in the forms for both and sent off in October, checking the "I don't want to be paid it" box. Should I have received some sort of confirmation letter, or is no communication to be expected? Not sure if I need to chase anything so hoping someone in the same situation can advise? Thanks!

I used to claim it and then pay it all back on my tax return (self employed)

Download the HMRC app. There is a section on there for child benefit.

I did it online and got a confirmation email back from HMRC to confirm

Thanks everyone, I didn't realise you could do it online 🤦🏼‍♀️ will ring them tomorrow to see if they have my application, and if not I'll do the online form.
