Carers allowance paid twice

I was paid carers allowance at the beginning of October. I was then paid again at the end of October. I assumed because of this I wouldn't get CA this month but I've just received the payment in to my account. Has anyone else had an extra payment? I'm in England.

It is paid every 4 weeks...

Were the payments 4 weeks apart, despite being both in October? It’s paid 4 weekly so you’ll get 13 payments a year.

was the early October payment a late September payment? how long have you been getting it. you could contact the benefits agency.

🤦‍♀️ Oh yeah of course, it's every 4 weeks so that's why I've been paid twice in Oct. I feel silly now.
