DH submitted our details to L&C and on reading their decision in principle they mention using their panel solicitors. Has anyone used them and can share their experience?
I suggested L&C to DH having seen their name before but this has made me reluctant. I assumed they only made their fees from lenders and didn't realise they would have panel solicitors. I used to work at a law firm and would happily use them as I know the conveyancers well. DH once used a solicitor recommended by the property developer he bought from. She was incredibly slow and he's convinced that her "secretary" was really the solicitor trying to dodge calls so he's also a bit concerned. His second purchase was with my old firm and was a breeze in comparison, despite buying and selling.
