Dd 16 paying tax

Could somebody help please, my daughter started working at McDonald’s in the summer, she paid emergency tax while she was there. We contacted McDonald’s at the time and they said they would sort it. It was never sorted and when she left McDonald’s we phoned the tax office. The tax office said it would be refunded to her new job, which so far hasn’t been. She’s earning well below the tax threshold.

She has received a P45 from McDonald’s but now she is working two different jobs. She’s working 8 hours a week at both jobs.

Where do we send her P45? Do both employers need to see it.

Thank you

Just give one of them the p45 the other fill in a declaration. She will probably get the tax refunded in April at end of tax year.

Just split her tax code between both jobs .

You need to ring the tax office, or register on the government gateway. You can then allocate her tax code accordingly.
