Best cash back credit card

I’m looking for a new cash back credit card and wondered if anyone had any recommendations?

I’ve looked at the M&S one and Waitrose but I don’t do that much shopping in either shop so the rewards wouldn’t be great.

Already have a Sainsburys one but would like a different one for different rewards.

Have a look here and see if any of these are any good. As you say a lot depends on where you shop and what rewards will be most use to you.

American Express gives an excellent 5% cashback for the first 3 months, followed by 0.5%. A generous rate but not all shops take Amex, though all the big supermarkets and petrol stations do.

I've just taken out the Lloyds cash back credit card.

We also have the BA Amex for airmiles.

Forgot to add the terms:

•	Earn 0.25% cashback on your first £4,000 of purchases per calendar year.
•	Earn 0.5% cashback on further purchases once you’ve made over £4,000 of purchases per calendar year.
•	No cap on the amount of cashback you can earn

Chase have a debit card paying 1% cash back for a year.

1% cashback on debit card spending. I've got a John Lewis card for big purchases where I want the protection of a credit card, but all my everyday spending is now going through the debit card.

I use Amex as a default but the Platinum Cashback, not the Everyday one as it gives 1.25% for annual spending over £10k - my partner has a second card and everything we can goes on this, so for our level of spending this works out best. Lots of additional benefits too like pre-sale concert tickets, adhoc offers etc. I've been an Amex member for years and must have had literally thousands back from them in that time. Well worth it.

We also now have a Chase account (1% cashback) for backup spends where Amex isn't accepted.
