Getting a refund/extension on railcard due to strikes?

I got a one year railcard but unfortunately the last three times I’ve tried to use it, I’ve been unable to, due to strikes and engineering work.

I’ve just read there are further strikes upcoming. (I only need/want to travel by train on weekends and this is when the strikes tend to be.)

Has anyone tried to get a refund or extension on their railcard for this reason?

I doubt it - we weren't allowed refunds (even partial) when covid meant that non of us could travel at all so I doubt they will agree to a refund because of the strikes.
