Anyone else have a Northern Rock mortgage

I’ve come across this information, that a legal firm is coordinating a case against TSB who set up the Whistletree company which took over Northern Rock mortgages after they collapsed.

The case is that they charged over the odds on rates because people weren’t able to move their mortgages due to the financial situation so we’re trapped, and they took advantage of that.

I was in just that position back then, that mortgage is gone now as we moved a few years ago and remortgaged but I’m thinking of signing up.

Anyone else come across this or in this position?

Hi, I have a claim in process with the law firm. They are currently raising awareness to encourage more people to join the group. The case will happen between now and early next year, to be announced.
I had been paying the high rates since pre 2008, and managed to reduce the rate during Covid. The case is open to anyone that had a Northern Rock mortgage that is now with Whistletree, so you would qualify.

Thank you, I’ve sighed up too - I’m not sure if I still have any paperwork, I need to have a search and see.

I took out the original mortgage in 2006, and it moved to Whistletree when NR collapsed and was with them until 2019 when I moved, so quite a few years!

Annoyingly I shredded loads of old paperwork when I moved, but I might still have something, or they must keep records, guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

I was with UCB for 12 years. They are part of this too, but wasn't sure whether to join. They asked me 2 years ago and it's still going on.

Has anyone had any update on this recently?
