First universal credit assessment period

Hi, I have recently applied for universal credits due to me and my husband separating. I believe that my assessment period will run from the 10th of September to the 9th of October, my usual payday is the 10th but due to a weekend I was paid one day early in September on the 9th. This would mean my assessment period will show 0 earnings and I’m worried they may see this as my employer not reporting my earnings and so not allow my claim for October pay. Does anyone have any advise?

Although you were paid on the 9th the wages will be available on HMRC and will show your usual pay date so if its the 11th of every month you get paid HMRC will show that date not the date you were paid if that makes sense?

Hi, thanks for the response. Unfortunately this doesn’t appear to be the case. I can see from info uploaded to my hmrc personal tax account that the my PAYE information is sent to HMRC varies between the 8-10th, and being the 9th of this month.

You can ask Uc to re-allocate it to the correct assesment period if it was paid earlier than usual.
