MLM Bot Watch 73 A thread about desperate bots desperately botting

1000 replies

MarchXX · 18/09/2022 06:57

Saw previous thread was full, so started this one Grin! Thread 73, who would have thought Shock. So much has changed over the years of these MLM threads but it is interesting that some stalwarts are still going, many thousands of victims in their wakes.

The MLM industry is counting the cost of a more awakened population who can now see through this scam industry, although there are still the serial bots who believe they fail because they 'didn't try hard enough' rather than understanding that the business model set them up to fail, and join countless MLMs in a desperate attempt to find success Sad.

That Starbucks obsession is so weird

Literally the cheapest, shtest, most easily available coffee, paraded around like shes drinking the beans from the st of a Civet cat!

They do not quite get aspirational posts do they!

Spongebobette · 26/09/2022 14:53

I suspect this started with some advice she was given when she started eg ‘post a photo of yourself with a treat paid for by your side hustle’ and she chose Starbucks and still thinks it’s aspirational

Spongebobette · 26/09/2022 15:31

I see that Castle’s way of getting the house ready is to BUY MORE STUFF

Ohnonevermind · 26/09/2022 15:53

the Idea that they can’t come home for Christmas, see mr castles parents, her grandparents etc, shows how desperate things must be, and off she goes spending which is her answer to everything

Ohnonevermind · 26/09/2022 15:54

I never buy Starbucks, it tastes like mud to me.

Ohnonevermind · 26/09/2022 15:54

I love good coffee and Starbucks isn’t good coffee

The psychology behind the followers is basic playground social groups. Read “Queen Bees and Wannabes”, or the novel “The Hive”. Watch “Motherland” to see how many women just want to belong to the in crowd. MLMs pray on the need for Queen Bees to have a following ( worker bees) who basically do the work for them.
The companies who set up theses pyramids use a tried and tested social structure to perpetuate the model. A structure that is embedded in our society. Those of us that can see through it are dismissed since we are outnumbered by the majority who are preprogrammed to want to be part of the “gang”.
That is why it is so difficult to stop MLMs drawing in new victims.
It’s very clever, offering not just an income but an enviable social life and acceptance into the “cool” gang.

Yes very true and so obvious when seen from the outside

Want to get fit, but expenisve gym clothes and equipment. Never use it.

Seems to be her go to, spend someone elses money for her own gratification.

Why now, why so quickly? It is very very strange

And so hard to get rid of the purchases from previous fads that are cluttering up her house: amp.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2022/sep/19/peloton-resell-pandemic-market-price

As for the adulation of the likes of Yawn and Castle, it is hard to fathom when they are such obvious cons. It’s yet another area where social media has done harm. It’s so easy for them to present a life that isn’t true. Imagine getting away with it c.25 years ago when the reality of your finances/body shape/mood etc would have been less easy to edit and your reach so much less. Though of course you’re right about those social structures @Angrymum22 and they’ve always been around.

Whether someone ends up as desperately trying to suck up to to Yawn’s of this world always comes down to one’s view of one’s self doesn’t it? Feeling that something is missing or not good and only someone else’s approval will help. Take Nurse, she’s got some key vulnerabilities. I think she’s lonely, she clearly doesn’t like her job, she has few economic options, she’s never likely to get close to the trappings, never going to be a CEO or a boss or go to an exciting conference, and I bet no one has ever affirmed her like Yawn did, with all her French Chic® glamour and Michael Kors bags. It must have been inTOXICating. No one is offering that sparkle in secondary care mental health when she does a good job I can tell you that for sure! As soon as your options are few then why question what Castle or Yawn is offering; a beguiling mix of glamour, affirmation and belonging as well as fast tracked and certain financial success. But I think it’s the social endorsement that is the biggest prize for many of the victims.

Spongebobette · 26/09/2022 18:59

Sparkle is a good word. The drudgery of a normal
life with no real hope of rising to the top - it must be dazzling to be befriended (well, love-bombed) by someone like Yawn who tells you you can be just like her if you will just do what she tells you

But by Castle? I don’t get it? She’s not glamorous? Or endearing?

it confuses me

Yes I think you've nailed it! Thanks for that, I might read that book.

WisteriaLodge · 26/09/2022 20:05

YouOKHun Wow, that explains it very well, thank you.

WisteriaLodge · 26/09/2022 20:09

But by Castle? I don’t get it? She’s not glamorous? Or endearing? I imagine it's because Castle reached the dizzy heights in FL, they thought they could emulate her.

Yes. Castle May look rather ridiculous and desperate now in her efforts at self-agrandissement now, but let's not forget that at the time of her rise she had the full might of a resurgent FLP U.K. and all the other 'leading' bots bigging her up as some sort of WonderWoman, not just Bruv's pisspoor 'design' skills attempting to roll the turd in glitter, which is where she has ended up.

PieonaBarm · 26/09/2022 22:01

Castle has been out spending £800 on bedding for the AirBnB, meanwhile Bruv and her Mum have been visiting a poorly GrandCastle in hospital. And Castle wants to rip her Mum from her own poorly and clearly very elderly mother to live abroad and look after her kids. As my late Mum would have said "she's one on her own that one"

Spongebobette · 26/09/2022 22:10

That’s so so sad

BSintolerant · 26/09/2022 22:14

I wonder if subconsciously Castle knows this is her last hurrah. Deep down in her largely unexplored, murky inner world she knows she’s financially screwed so she’s enjoying spending it whilst she can.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 26/09/2022 22:26

Problem is that if her parents are going to keep on bankrolling her and indulging her every whim, whatever hardship it causes them (and they appear to be completely in her thrall for some reason), she can afford all this.

If, as @YouOKHun gathered from their Companies House submissions, their business remains healthy and they are deriving enough to keep her and pathetic brother going, there is no reason for her to stop.

Quite why they allow this is beyond me.

TheHorseOnSeventhAvenue · 26/09/2022 22:27

Funny university where the two key players are out of the country doing other stuff first week of term.

Do you think Fierce needed Scamaversity money to pay for the flights and stuff from the last Scam?

TheHorseOnSeventhAvenue · 26/09/2022 22:35

Also think Castle is very similar to Yawn - a certain amount of naivety that makes them think they have done well.

In Castle’s case, if I can do well in this I am a successful person.

Bloodsucker and Uber are more savvy.

Fierce is just a grifter and always will be.

The one thing they all have in common is they all know they are lying and being dishonest.

YouOKHun · 26/09/2022 22:55

I wonder if Fierce will lose interest in Scamversity now she’s had a bit of fun with the TV company in the US. I wonder if that’s all those many complainers off her back now, as there were a lot of people unhappy about it. @TheHorseOnSeventhAvenue I wouldn’t be at all surprised if you’re right about Fierce needing a quick injection of cash to pay for the TV scam, she’s got a few plates she needs to keep spinning. She’s probably well aware Scamversity has already had its day. Fierce onto the next scam and Castle rescued by the Bank of Mum & Dad (at least for now). So again the losers will be those that signed up in hope. I’m waiting to hear how cancelling their payments goes for them.
