MLM Bot Watch 73 A thread about desperate bots desperately botting

1000 replies

MarchXX · 18/09/2022 06:57

Saw previous thread was full, so started this one Grin! Thread 73, who would have thought Shock. So much has changed over the years of these MLM threads but it is interesting that some stalwarts are still going, many thousands of victims in their wakes.

The MLM industry is counting the cost of a more awakened population who can now see through this scam industry, although there are still the serial bots who believe they fail because they 'didn't try hard enough' rather than understanding that the business model set them up to fail, and join countless MLMs in a desperate attempt to find success Sad.

"The rinsed getting rinsed at every level.
It truly is tragic".

In that sense, it is straight out of the playbook of classic MLM pyramid schemes.

As well as the 'core' business of keeping the customers 'business owners' hooked and milking them through that, there is a parallel trade in 'external coaching' where the downlines are farmed out to mindset/recruitment/social media/marketing etc. 'gurus' who also take their cut.

The next step is the merchandise and 'events' route to milking more out of the audience. Castle has already explored the former with the planners, but was probably put off by the fact it actually required a certain amount of work. They have probably explored selling the tacky 'varsity' jackets to the students at something like 3X cost price, along with overpriced stationery. Possibly they are waiting for the next 'intake' to unleash this.

The same with events, I'm sure they've been costing holding Scamversity get-togethers where the 'students' would essentially be paying stupid money to see their distinguished professors deliver more recycled crap, but in the flesh...

Spongebobette · 31/10/2022 12:51

Oh you are so right, they’ll be booking a venue soon and charging the poor minions to come to a Q and A - double whammy, they’ll extract more money from them and also get showered with attention and admiration

PieonaBarm · 31/10/2022 12:53

They'll do "Class of XX" jackets and hoodies

BSintolerant · 31/10/2022 13:46

Ghastly jackets, hoodies and crocs must be Scamiversity’s equivalent to academic dress.

Some changes in Ubers ‘people with significant interest’ in her companies office details

Some changes in Ubers ‘people with significant interest’ in her companies office details

It also appears that her house by the sea of Ubers, is actually mortgaged to her and husbands Property Management Company

I've said before we never see her husband in any pics and they never seem to do anything together

NormalForNuneaton · 01/11/2022 07:29

Well spotted!

He's certainly been absent from the back to back holidays for some time which made us suspicious

fromdownwest · 01/11/2022 09:25

She also has a very significant Defined Benefit pension that the company has agreed to fund, this is linked to various escalation rates (RPI and CPI).

With inflation where it is, that liability will increase significantly, very unusual for a one man band to carry that risk?

Ohnonevermind · 01/11/2022 09:40

Ubers company has agreed to fund her pension, but she’s been spending her cash pile on her dream house so it’s very underfunded, at the moment her cash pile would generate less than 30k per annum (think of how much that will get you in 20 years after inflation). It may rise due to investment strategy but she put 50% of her cash pile into the holiday home renovation and struggles to let it and that’s not going to rise by 10% pa

as a business owner she won’t be entitled to a state pension so that’s all the income she’ll have apart from the income from her dream home and a rental flat (the income on those would probably only cover the mortgage)

As for poor Yawns pension. There is nothing to say as there is nothing in the bank . Hopefully mr yawn is entitled to something from his real job

What is that photoshoot?

It is lierally them smiling with stupid jackets on and cups of Tea. How does that add any value to the business or their paid members?

Blows my mind

LeoDiCapricorn · 01/11/2022 16:05

Don't forget the angel cards. What a croc

I think what they've essentially done with Scamversity is create a pool of the most gullible and unsophisticated people they could lay their hands on, so they can feed them pretty much any shite as 'content' and get away with it.
Rinsing them for more will be pretty much like shooting fish in a barrel, except I think that their pooled net worth probably doesn't amount to enough to keep the scam going for long.

YouOKHun · 01/11/2022 18:45

Yep agree @Twentytwentyhindsight . We already know a few cleared off as soon as “term” started and it was clear there was no real content. I expect Nurse is a typical example of what’s left of their audience. In the end though it will be the fact that these followers really don’t have the money to keep spending on Scamversity hoodies, “conventions”, or further coaching which means the scam runs dry. As everyone’s belt tightens the chances of a new batch of students is slim. I imagine it’s going to get increasingly hard for their students to “cancel any time” as the monthly £39 because the only way they can rinse them.

NormalForNuneaton · 01/11/2022 19:03

Theres a new review of Scamversity on Trust Pilot ....the reviewer is warning Castle to "get out while you can" and refers to Fierce's track record of tying people up in contracts that they can't get out of.

Norma27 · 01/11/2022 19:41

I can’t see it @NormalForNuneaton. my latest review was removed! My first is still up though with some shitty reply from the scammers!

Norma27 · 01/11/2022 19:42

@NormalForNuneaton doh! Found it now after clicking on the one stars!

When the Eagle Manager trip was announced she tagged her husband in it, saying it was a trip for two. When she took it, it was with her daughters. I'm guessing the husband is no longer on the scene, which is genuinely sad as they only got married a few years ago.

Obviously no one will celebrate the failing of marriage, as it impacts so many people.

However, being part of the MLM car crash as the wheels come off it, can not be easy for any partber / family member.

Spongebobette · 02/11/2022 14:16

Oh didn’t Yawn go to Mexico?

Twentytwentyhindsight · 02/11/2022 14:21

Yawn is a million miles from the coveted and exalted super flappy flying rat status required to be invited to that particular retreat.

Spongebobette · 02/11/2022 14:27

His FB suggests they are still together
possibly he doesn’t like being in the FL world though so stays away from the limelight
