Credit card turned up, but not applied for?

This morning, in the post my husband has received a credit card with a £10,000 limit to it which he hasn’t applied for.
he’s calling the company to get it cancelled, but is this fraud? Do we need to contact the police or something?
how do we find out if there is someone using his name and address to run up debt in his name?

Possibly identify fraud. He should check his credit report for unknown searches - you can do that for free on credit karma.

He’s had a phone call from the credit card company, it is fraud. Just lucky that the card came to our house and everything has now been cancelled and there has been a not put on his file incase there are multiple searches on his credit history.
