Upgrade British Airways Amex to Premium Plus

I'm looking to upgrade my BA Amex to the paid-for premium plus card. I was wondering if anyone knows, will the money I have spent so far this year towards a companion voucher start again from zero when I upgrade or will it be transferred across?
Thanks!

the companion voucher is linked to the card, so you won’t be able to transfer it.

Thanks @Blankbias, I'm not trying to transfer the voucher but the eligible spend. I've not earned the voucher yet.
On their website re upgrading it says you keep the same account number and balance when you upgrade but doesn't say anything about the spend towards the voucher.

I did this last year when my spend was nearing the limit for earning a companion voucher and when I upgraded to PP it all transferred across. Worth noting you can also call them to downgrade it once you've got the companion voucher and receive a pro rata refund for the annual fee.

What card did you have before? If it was blue you can only get an economy companion voucher, so bear that in mind. Might be worth just keeping it and taking a new card out so you can get both vouchers. I did this and now have two companion vouchers for this year.
