Cost of living payment confusion

We get tax credits so our first payment should be due in the autumn BUT we are just about to do a UC application so will we lose out on the first payment as our tax credit claim will cease ??

really worried we might not get it due to this or will it still be paid from tax credits and we will just get 2 payments close together in autumn ?

You will get the first payment from tax credits and the second on UC assuming you still qualify for the second payment at the qualifying date.

I think the qualifying period for the first payment was 22 April to 25 May? So as long as you received tax credits at that time you'll get it

So even though our tax credits claim will have ended they still know they are meant to pay our first payment and then UC will know we were eligible in the state in may and they’ll automatically pay our second ? Sorry I get so confused by it all and we can’t afford to miss out

On the date - not in the state
