Confusion over electric company

Hi moved into a new build council property in May and was told I had to register electric with total gas and Power. After signing up with them they wanted to know who previous tenant was I informed there wasn't and I was 1st tenant there but electric was used by builders before moving in (I provided a meter reading) it's finally been set up and was sent 1st bill for 1st month of electric 108 pound. I don't have gas, it's a 2 bed house. Is this an OK price? I'm not used to it as lived in a 1 bed flat before and my bill was normally 80 pound a month for both gas and electric. Also total gas and Power are for business customers and keep asking me about my business and I have to keep informing them Its a domestic property. I tried to switch to domestic supplier but no electric companies are taking new customers. I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice. Im a FTM to a 9 week old DS so my heads all over place atm.
