MOved into a house which we were going to get a phone line fitted, arranged with BT to come and fit it. They didnt turn up for three scheduled appointments, so cancelled the fitting and was told money would be credited.

Since thought they had paid the money back into my account, silly me didnt check proplery!

But this morning I recieve a bill that says I have credit balance. Am i entitled to this monay back or do I have to use it in future on other BT services?

you paid them money, they didn't turn up? Hey still have your money?

then you have every right to get it back off them.

or

they compensated you for not turning up, from their money, into some sort of credit?

You are not with them, tbh i don't think you will get this turned into hard cash.

You should be entitled to get it back - ring the number on the bill.

We had a cheque sent on request when we stopped using them so much and our credit balance went up.

i was in credit with them and they sent me a cheque. you proabably have to call them to ask them to do it though.

PenelopePitstops · 16/01/2008 11:09

thank you, thye didnt compensate, just credited the charges for fitting the line.
Will ring ASAP

yes just call them

my water company owed me laod of £...

i called them (and after lots of calls and huge palarva) EVENTUALLY i got a nice check for £70

Just call them. BT are notoriously bad, however, so if you have no luck after a call, follow it up with a letter. If still no luck, report them to OFCOM and it will get sorted pronto!
