Fraud on my account- help

Hello,
Please can you give me some advice.
I mislaid my purse in Aldi on Friday. But someone found it and gave it back to me.
I was notified today that my account had gone overdrawn.
When I checked someone has used my debit card to place £2150 worth of bets with Mecca bingo and Sky bets. They must have taken a picture of my card before giving it back.
I've contacted my bank, but they can't tell me whether I'll get the money back.
I'm a single Mum, and really can't afford this.
Has anyone had a similar experience? And did you get the bank refund money back to your account?
Thank you

My still had my card , when I was notified that huge amounts had been taken out abroad . I had only used it in one independent petrol station on the way to work so it must have been copied. NatWest were great . I had to sign a form that it wasn’t me . They put the money back within 24 hours and passed it on to their fraud department.
Phone you bank as soon as possible . Good luck x

It's bizarre that they allow this , and yet I have to put a pin sent to my phone quite often for something I buy online .

I am sure that you will get it back because there will be so much evidence that it wasn’t you , such as the computer IRP address which accessed the betting sites and the fact a pin wasn’t used . Keep us updated . I feel for you , I really understand the feelings of rage , fear and anxiety all mixed up that someone has done that to you . I don’t suppose Aldi has cctv ? X

No know this is too late and I am sorry , but on the NatWest app, when you get your new card , there is a button that you can disallow transactions to gambling sites / abroad without your authorisation . X

You should get your money back - you didn't do anything wrong like give your PIN to someone. What a horrible thing to happen.

Someone cloned my card or something once and bought loads of menswear in Hammersmith. I could prove I wasn't anywhere near Hammersmith and they refunded the money.

It might take a while before you get refunded though.
