Can't use Barclaycard on a crowdfunding site

I've got a new Barclaycard (renewed, no previoous problems). I just tried to use it on a crowdfunding site & the only option it gave me for authentification was to put my card in a card reader - which of course I have not got. The crowdfunding site doesn't take PayPal so I'm stuffed.

Unless MNers know a way round this.

Contact barclaycard and see if they have all your details correct e.g. mobile number, email address as sometimes they can send texts instead of using a card reader. Also ask them to send a card reader so you have one. I have one for my nationwide account

Also you may need to use it with your pin somewhere to activate it for online/contact less use

Goigling suggests you can use the barclaycard app too

Thanks @dementedpixie . So people have their own card readers now? I feel old!

I tried phoning them when I got the new card, to change the mobile # they have for me, & it said there was a 2-hour wait so I gave up.

This is what they look like. I have to use it to log into online banking and if I'm setting up a new payment online/on the app.
