Anyone know how to find a lost NHS pension?

Hi all, so I worked for the NHS for 12 years in which time I had an NHS pension that I paid into. I have left the service now for 5 years and didn’t really give the pension much thought but currently sorting some finances out and although nowhere near retirement age I would like to know more about the NHS pension I paid into but I can’t find any paperwork at home and have never been sent any statements or info etc. Anyone know how I can access this information or a way I can trace it? Thank you in advance!

www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/member-hub/contact-nhs-pensions-members
contact them via here for England/Wales
( there's a separate one for Scotland)

Surely you need to just contact the NHS pension scheme?

Frownedupon - it doesn’t seem to be that easy, I spent ages yesterday trying to find the details to contact someone but to no avail, it seems as though if you are still in employment with the NHS you can contact them but not if you have left the service and your pension is inactive

Inactive is the wrong term to use!
The opposite of “active member” is not “inactive non-member” - but “deferred me member”.

You are still a member of the pension scheme because that’s a separate thing to being an employee of the NHS.

So where the website says it for members to contact - that’s still you! So you can go ahead and call them 👍🏻
