Can you change where your CTF is held?

Just wondering - the govt completely screwed up DS's voucher and helpfully just shoved it in an account they deemed suitable.

I don't profess to be particularly "up" on the facts and figures of where it is and don't know if it is a good/bad account/company etc.

Just wondering if I were to investigate it and find a better account - could I move it or is it stuck where it is?

Am mightily peed off - it is all due to their incompetence that I never even saw the voucher, let alone decide where it went!

I think you can move it if you want

I'm fairly sure you can just move it. People invest them and then move the investments don't they?

If you can be bothered with a financial adviser, they're quite useful in these circumstances, but you could probably find the info you need if you google it?

Yes you can. We have DD's in a shares-only account, but we'll probably move it into something safer when she's older.
According to the government website you just set up a new account with whoever you like, and the new provider will tell the old one to shut down the existing account.

Oh great, I'll start looking in to it then
