CMS and Deduction of Earnings Order

Hiya

Does anyone know what happens when the paying parent leaves their job? We have no contact. He js a horrible person who walked out on his child and responsibilities nearly 7 years ago now and has no contact with him. A DOE order was set up as he refused to pay as he said he saw it as giving me money and not his child. It was paid shit to be honest by his employer but he was employed the whole time and the account built up arrears. Now I have no idea where he has moved to or if he is going self employed. I've seen comments good luck in your new job etc and have seen that he has moved far away but still in the UK.
Now I'm scared how the DOE order will transfer over or if it will? The loss of maintenance when it is clear he is moving to a new job would be crippling financially with the cost of living out of control. I've stripped EVERYTHING back as it is.

Does anyone know what happens when a paying parent moves jobs and has a deduction of earnings order?

Thank you

The employer should notify the CSA that they no longer employ the person. And Csa will usually need to wait until a new employer shows on their HMRC record to be able to transfer DEO over to new employer. If payments stop get on to CSA to chase this. But be aware it can take 6 Ish weeks for HMRC to be updated sometimes as employers have so many weeks to advise HMRC of new starts. If self employed them DEO will stop and they will need to contact paying oarent for payments. HTH

Thank you. All abit worrying really. He would love the thought of this making me struggle even more.
I really hope it's PAYE as I know with SE I won't stand a chance.
I sent a message on my account yesterday and it's already changed from collect and pay to direct pay. We haven't spoke in years so how can he pay me direct
