I'd like to hear from anyone who had to sell their MFH and downsize with their adult children - did it work out for the best? To make this move affordable we'll have to move away from family and friends and everything that's familiar - it's frightening.

All change is frightening but try to look at it as a fresh start

I sold and downsized with teens but we didn't have to move away.

If your children are adults how much longer do you expect them to live with you? Can't they live independently or contribute to a mortgage?
