Changing premium bond from 16 year to me

My child has some pretty severe mental health problem and sen

I was supposed to be helped by a member of the family to transfer them into my name to hold for my child but the person didn't. Child has now turned 16.

Anyone know how I go about it?

I think you’d just have to cash them in and buy them again in your name.

Does your child have a SW? Because I'd want to be sure that it didn't look like financial abuse. It probably wouldn't be an issue but it would just give me a little pause.

No social services involvement at the moment.

Very limited help from them in the past.
