It's been on my to do list for so long and now I just need to do it. Four of us our with Virgin mobile and long since been moved on to a less favourable tariff as the contract has run out. I could be paying less but my obstacle is sorting out 4 different mobile phone accounts and how to keep the same phone number for everyone.

Could someone list the steps for me in a simple format so I can get this job done! Thank you.

You need to request a PAC code from Virgin for each contract you want to cancel and take the number with you. You can do this one of 3 ways:

  • Sign in to youronline accountand select Switching to make your request
  • Text ‘PAC’andyour date of birth (in DD/MM/YYYY format) to 65075For example: PAC 01/03/1984
  • Call us on 789 from your Virgin Mobile or 0345 6000 789 ** from any other phone

Then take out your new contract (sim only if you're keeping the current phones). Some companies allow you to give them the PAC when you sign up others want it after you've received the SIM.

The new company will sort out the port for you and using the PAC will cancel your old contract.

Repeat x4.
