Double standards with cost of living

Why is it that we cut those on UC from £93 a week to £73 because we couldn’t afford it and have to get used to it. Even though many on UC couldn’t get out of it as Carers, Disabled, long term sick, parents with young children who were not being made to look for work yet. As well as those On job seekers who could in theory “get out of it” by finding a job.

Yet someone on £30,000 a year who will be paying £20 more a MONTH on NI and it’s all unaffordable with rising costs of living. Yet for those on UC who lost 22% of their income in same crisis it’s oh well never mind pull your socks up and “make
Some soup”.
