DD is starting to think of buying her first home.

We're in the south east, so price wise we're looking at £300k for a small 2bed flat.

Is it possible for us to be a joint buyers, under these circumstances:

I have a buy to let with a net yield of £750pm

I earn £35k pa- FT local government

DD earns £29k - F1 NHS

Deposit if approx £35k

You would need to also considered

  • additional stamp duty as you have other property
  • capital gains tax on your half when the property is sold

I'm an accountant not a mortgage advisor, so cannot help with that
