I’m having a bit of a clear out and want to sell some clothes online.

Who is a good reliable but not too expensive courier to use? I would like to send tracked.

Royal Mail look easy but are £4-£5+ per parcel, which takes a big chunk out of any money!

My friend has an eBay shop selling all sorts and uses Hermes for price and they pick up. I've never liked them myself but guess she's lucked out with the guy that does her area.

I sell online. I use royal mail, 2nd class up to 2KG (which is a lot of clothes) is £2.90 if you buy.online. If I have just the.one parcel I pay the extra 60p for the postman to pick up which is cheaper than my fuel to PO, any more I drop off. Bigger parcels like boots or anything of value I use UPS who have a drop off point at our local garage, they are cheaper than Royal Mail medium parcel, they are also super quick with next day delivery at no extra charge. I don't use Hermes as they take days to pick up and there is not a drop off point nearby and are excellent at.losing things. But as PP said it is dependent on the reliability of the Hermes person in your area and your buyers area.
I would look at what drop off points are in your area as you need to factor in fuel and when you can fit in drop offs, most courier and parcel companies have prices per weight and pick up, drop off prices on their sites.
