Anybody else pleasantly surprised by UC taper rate change?

I've just looked at my statement and, thanks to the new taper rate and work allowance, my UC is going to be £135 more this month.
Breathing a sigh of relief as this will help so much and also scared it's a mistake!

Not a mistake - higher work allowance and better taper rate
Work allowance
If you have children or assessed as too I’ll to work (Limited capability for work or limited capability for work related activity)

If you get housing element £335 or if you don’t £557 per month
Taper on wages 55p for each £1 earned

@Danikm151 not a downer because this should be good news but keep an eye on your Council Tax payments. As you keep more of your earnings Council Tax may offset this and expect you to pay more Council Tax. I hope not but worth checking just in case.

It not a mistake it’s right, they put it up for us working parents… I paid full council tax anyway so it carnt rise anymore :) x

Yeah full council tax here too.
Feels great to finally catch a break for working!
