Do we fix it?

Other car drove off

Do we tell the courtesy car people?

Do we tell the insurance co?

Oh bugger just what we need

The courtesy car will either be insured under your existing policy, or they will have asked for a premiun when you took it - usually something like £5.

Is it the whole mirror and casing, or just the glass, because that is easy to fix - you get new ones that glue on to the old one.

I guess you leave the repairs to the hire company. However, their excess is usually stupidly high, so it may be worth speaking to a garage beforehand to see what the repair bill would be. If it is less than the excess you may be able to come to an arrangement.

What a wanker for driving off - not you obviously, the other driver.

Glass but it is heated and has that funny bit at the end

It is insured under our existing policy - but it will be 2 claims in under a month
