No big win here either Sad

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/03/2022 08:34

@Eaumyword

Not even £1k win here! I've scoured the prize winning spreadsheet and nothing at all. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. *@pemba* today you can download the high value winner spreadsheet and check if you're a lucky winner of anything from £100,000 down to £1,000. Tomorrow is winners of £500 down to £25.
Can you link that on here @Eaumyword please

No big win here, nobody in my county at all! And it's an affluent home-county. Wonder if there are ever regional stats? I've noticed my county rarely features in the big wins.

Eaumyword · 01/03/2022 09:45

Really sorry, I can't do links, but I found the spreadsheet on the Premium Bonds website home page.
It officially only goes down to £5k but I read on here a really useful tip where if you download it rather than just look, you can check right down to £1k.
I'd love to win big, but would be happy for one of our group too - we never seem to get the really big wins, do we!

I've seen regional stats before and it does seem to be strongly skewed towards 'affluent home counties' which makes sense because that's where more people with larger holdings win.

A few years old but probably still similar stats, the light blue bit at the bottom is where most winners have come from.

@Eaumyword. Of course, you can do links, it's just cutting and pasting.

WhatHaveIFound · 01/03/2022 09:51

Got really excited to have an email this morning saying that i'd got a secure message. Unfortunately it was just telling me i'd added more money two weeks ago!

Fingers crossed for everyone tomorrow.

ohMaggieMaggieMae · 01/03/2022 09:54

My mum has maximum holdings and lives NW, wins the odd £25 every few months and that has been about it.

Carpediem15 · 01/03/2022 09:56

My DH is the same - he has maximum holding and the most on 1 bond he has ever won is £100, he does win £25 most months but never a big one.

BarbaraofSeville · 01/03/2022 10:04

Something like 98% of prizes are for £25, so it's not surprising that's what you win most of the time.

If you have £50k, you should win around £400 a year, probably mostly in £25 prizes, around 8 a year, but sometimes 0 per month, and sometimes 1, 2, 3 or more.

Over time and over the population of bond holders it's a good statistical interest and the graphs tend towards a standard normal distribution.

They could probably use real world data in schools to teach statistics.

Eaumyword · 01/03/2022 11:12

Well that's me told, Barbara!GrinGrin
I'm keeping fingers crossed for £500 tomorrow, that would be fab.

fedup078 · 01/03/2022 11:34

Oh wow I didn't know you could see the £1000 prizes if you downloaded it either or that there were so many of them !
None of them for me though!

Eaumyword · 01/03/2022 11:49

I didn't either until someone put that helpful tip on this thread! Really good.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/03/2022 14:23

I didn’t know either

A lot of prizes

But no £1k for me

Maybe £25 tomorrow

prizes £1k and over

Only one big winner in the whole of Sheffield. I call for a redraw!

SwedishEdith · 01/03/2022 21:02

God, there's 2 who have bought 10k in Jan 22 and now won 10k.

Thedogscollar · 02/03/2022 00:26

Full holding and not won anything since Dec.

TangledUp789 · 02/03/2022 00:29

£25 for me this month on £50k.

FiveShelties · 02/03/2022 00:45

50 for me and 25 for my husband - we both have 24K each.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/03/2022 04:18

2 x £25

Finally a happy blondes

So £50 so far in 2022

Associatepeggy · 02/03/2022 04:40

Another £25. I am quite happy with 25 a month.

Kids haven't won anything for a while. I am going to try and concentrate on increasing theirs over the next few years.

RubbishDay · 02/03/2022 04:45

Nothing for me on £33k, DH got £25 on similar holdings.

That's £75 in total this year combined.

ApolloandDaphne · 02/03/2022 05:13

£100 for me. I won £100 last month too. I'm on a roll!

Eaumyword · 02/03/2022 05:18

£2 x £25 so £50 total on almost 3 x full holdings.
There's always next month...Smile

catwomando · 02/03/2022 05:22

2 lots of £25 this month. Grin

recklessgran · 02/03/2022 06:11

Nothing for me. AGAIN.
DH not up yet so no idea about him - he has full holdings so I'll report back later.
