What date is child benefit paid on?

We've really run out of money this month and although i've got it written down in my money book thing that my child benefit is paid on the 10th of the month it hasn't showed up yet... Is it paid on the same date every month or have i imagined it? Need to buy something for DP for christmas!

I think it comes every four weeks rather tahn the same date every month.

Yes every 4 weeks. I suspect everyone is different so they have continous payments to make over the 4 week period and not all at once....

i get mine paid every tuesday, how come yours is monthly?
we've run out of money too! its not a biggie though as we have enough food etc to last till i get paid, just depressing as i havnt even finished my xmas shopping.

ring your bank and find out when your last payment went in and then count 4 weeks from then. its usually paid on a tuesday isn't it?

Have just looked and found i was last paid it on 27th November!not sure where i got the 10th from! luckily have some savings so have got money from there to transfer over but til that shows up think i will be going to my mum's for tea! thanks for all your replies

i get mine on mondays. usually iirc! you get it before christmas even if it's due after. though could be imagining it.
