Child trust fund- the share centre

Forgive my ignorance on this one.

OK, i have invested both my ctf vouchers in the share centre, but tbh I have no clue what any of it means! I log in to my account and I see summaries with headings like 'cash' and 'value' and I just don't understand it. Also in each category on the 'history' section there is a minus amount! Where does this money go?
Also, when they send me correspondance detailing the value of the account it says at eth end a fee of x amount is due. I didnt realise we had to send them money!! Or is this what is being taken out in the history section?

As you can see I am clueless. Help....

Phone them and ask! They should be very helpful, but if they aren't you can just ask how much you would get if you withdrew the money and moved it elsewhere today. That should give you a real value of what the fund is worth. If you're not clear about what it's invested in, you might be better off moving it to a purely cash account, so at least you know it is growing by, say, 5.5% per year, with no risk at all.

If there's a significant amount of money, it might be worth speaking to a financial adviser?

Thanks for the reply. I just spoke to my dad and he explained it all to me. Wish I was in the know about selling and buying stocks and shares but it seems to have gone up quite a bit considering when i put it in so I will leave it there.
