I don't think there is anything that you can do, this happened to DH a while ago and he had to change his number.

Misdee · 04/12/2007 18:32

oh you are joking, nooo!

what a PITA.

how do they do it?

hardly anyone has his number, just family and hospital.

try texting 'stop' to the number. DS didn't realise about these companys and it ate all his credit (he thought he was getting a free HSM ringtone)

Misdee · 04/12/2007 18:48

dont they charge you for texting stop?

poeter hasnt signed up for anything though, thats the annoying thing.

Can't be legal surely?

Misdee · 04/12/2007 18:50

exactly. it cant be legal but we cant find anything what we can do.

he is going to try and get hold of orange. but as soon as he has credit they will send another load.

right, he has had to text 'STOP ALL' to the number that sent them, wait 48hours and then call up the company that sent them up (racing tips btw did it ) and try and get his money back from them.

phone the mobile company from a land line and ask them to stop them coming through this happened to my 13 year old his mobile phone company stopped all the texts and gave us the mumber of the company who had been sending the texts so we could persue them for the money they had used
