PhD says

Controversial option but...🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Be wary of taking business or money making advice from people whose business model is literally just sharing how much money they make and how they can help you do the same.

In my experience they're just going to charge you a lot of money to be carbon copies of them.

And it's zero help if your business is selling anything other than business coaching 😬

I've got an acquaintance that's joined BSAH recently. In all fairness I'm surprised she's not joined before, two young kids and wants to work school hours. Her up line has just posted this:

"Grabbed a business for £49, and within the first 16 days has smashed over £658 in sales. Won an incentive for a new product. So that's a business kit worth £230, free products worth £240 & cash commission of £16"

SIXTEEN POUNDS...... WTAF????? She's poured her life and soul into her Facebook group, been posting loads, she's earned £16. The hours she must have spent! It's absolutely scandalous.

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 03/10/2021 10:49

In tkmaxx yesterday there were loads of body shop products half price. I haven't seen them in there before.

I wonder how that £16 works out at money per hour worked?

I was going to say exactly the same thing. They were selling body butter, Christmas gift sets and suchlike. I’ve never seen Body Shop stuff in TK Maxx before - what’s going on?

Is this bullshit? Castle says

NOT GROWING FAST ENOUGH? FRUSTRATED? FED UP? STUCK?

All normal feeling by the way. In my businesses I’ve felt all of the above and then some believe me.

But, when you keep on learning, implementing, adjusting & starting again 🙄 you eventually find a way that works for you & that you love.

That’s what I’ve done. Last year in my launch week of my business (planner & stationery company) I turned over £13334.
This year… I dropped the price of the planners by 22% so expected lower figures in £ but more orders. I got both. 🙏🙌

I followed my own launch system & simple checklist. I spent zero on advertising or marketing. Everything organic. Previous years I’ve always used ads for my launch.

This year I was testing out a strategy to
See if it works. I wanted to see if I can teach people to organically build an audience & launch using my strategy & still grow.

The answer is absolutely Yes! I didn’t quite 3 X but I was damn close!

I’m going to help you guys understand the importance of always building your audience & give you some ideas of strategies to do just that!

Broke has done a live completely off his head, even his mates comment on it. Tries to claim he's only on his legal CBD then he tells one in the comments he can't get any weed until "payday" on Thursday as no one will give him a lay-on.

Apparently he can teach you how to earn £5k a week. Shame he can't teach himself!

wetpants · 04/10/2021 09:17

On our local community FB page, two people have popped up in the last 24 hours to offer a “personal estate agent service”. My spidey senses went up and snooped their personal profiles. Both have signed up with ExpUK. Is this a new MLM?

definitelynotabot · 04/10/2021 16:27

@Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting wow.

Why on earth would she need a second business when she has such a lucrative FL business?

And don't you just love that they all seem to launch businesses which mean they can sell to their downline? I bet those downlines feel very pressured to be seen with those diaries and planners.

Mmm I looked at the website and nothing on there to say MLM, but who knows.... will keep eyes peeled!
wetpants · 04/10/2021 20:03

definitelynotabot There’s a line on the website that it’s a business in a box which makes it suss. I could of course be in the wrong.

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 04/10/2021 20:21

I wonder how the bots are doing today with Facebook and Instagram being down?

Spongebobette · 04/10/2021 20:24

Might be a jolly good thing if they stayed down

They'll all have to switch to MN chat instead- that would be fun!

The thing that made me wonder, was that it says all agents have at least 2 years of experience. So it really isn't something that just anyone can jump onto. Could still be MLM though but I think it's less likely?
definitelynotabot · 05/10/2021 09:46

... I think it's sounding more like a franchise or licence model (though I could be wrong).

It'll have given them more nooks and crannies to fit their work in Grin
CheekySmile · 05/10/2021 18:15

Today’s episode of the Behind The Bastards podcast is part one of a look into Amway.
They did a great two parter on Gary Young a couple of years ago too.

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 05/10/2021 22:50

Yawn says she's really ill and hasn't been tbis ill for 3-4 years yet she still dragged her arse out of bed to do her team training tonight .

Is that because she's got to be on their backs all the time I wonder, constantly keeping them engaged and spending, not giving them time to think about what "the haters" are saying.

Plus of course there's no sick pay with MLMs.

Spongebobette · 06/10/2021 07:32

She’s got to get them all buying the new collagen

And no, she can’t take time off sick, ever

OP posts:
Spongebobette · 06/10/2021 07:41

The collagen retails at 80 quid for a month’s supply

Get all the minions buying that for their personal use alongside the drinking gloop and all the supplements, plus all the household products including soap, shampoo, lotions…. And what do you have?

A pyramid scheme with the revenue generated internally

OP posts:
Twentytwentyhindsight · 06/10/2021 15:04

And a lot of definitely sub-prime products being bought at more than premium prices by deluded wretches who thing doing this will somehow make them rich...
