Life is a lottery and not an economic strategy. Please Help!

I like economics and everything related to strategic thinking and numbers; that is why I probably became an economist in a large company. I do not get tired of figures; I do not get tired of thinking and planning. Maybe that's why, after a hard day at work, I ask the nanny to stay longer with the child, I send my husband to the bar with friends, and I sit down to develop my colony Yoshimi Robotics))) Everything was good in my life until I got bored one day and started looking for thrills. I found them very quickly in the form of online casinos; I played on a demo account, was bored quickly, and switched to real money. I made my first deposit with great hesitation, as if it was not $ 10, but $ 10,000, that damn day I will never forget. The days began to fly quickly, from ten-dollar deposits I quickly moved to $ 100, and then I became a high roller. Happily, I have an access to our savings account; there we always save money, my husband, and me in case we would need help in the future. Without any shame, I was able to withdraw up to 15,000$ from our family savings account and I poured them all playing slot machines! Losing this huge amount of cash; I felt myself disgusting and I was upset! Once again I was able to make a withdrawal of 1000$ to deposit on the casino to keep spinning, but this time my husband entered the room and grabbed me of my hair to stop me from doing any bets. Honestly, I thought that he would kill me, but no, he understood me, listened, and forgave me; I swore to him that I would never play again. Here comes the most complicated and the most annoying part of the story. Withdrawing the funds was not easy at all! We left a withdrawal request on the site, expecting the cash in a few hours. Three days have passed and then we decided to contact the customer services and figure out what is the matter, they informed us that we ought to send a huge package of required documents for verification! Sending the documents, we were only answered by silence and more annoying three days of waiting. After writing them again, they claimed that they have a long queue of applications and we are supposed to wait. After waiting more three days for the money, I contacted the support team again, and they are asking for more and more documents, now I need to send more photos of my credit card. I sent it, and then I started to write them every day, therefore, they would send me my money back. This garbage dump is called ruby fortune. Who had the same situation; can you advise what to do in this case? I just want to withdraw my thousand dollars, this is not a win, it is just nothing comparing to the amount that I lost with them ($15,000). Help!

Yep most betting sites now require proof of identify.
You will get your 1k back but as you say, you might have to jump through hoops

I'm not sure about showing them a credit card though? As far as I'm aware you cannot make deposits using credit cards now. It all has to be debit card/PayPal/neteller.

Did you try to withdraw to your credit card or your bank account?
Also once it's approved to withdraw then you might still wait a few days before it reaches your bank account.

Is this your first instance of gambling?

AnotherOldGeezer · 02/08/2021 15:28

Have a listen to some episodes of BBC Radio 4 You and Yours. They have featured similar problems and may provide some pointers

Ruby Fortune does have the history of dubious payouts. Why did you even play there after all the reviews online?

Horehound · 09/08/2021 11:48

@theodoracarp did you get your money?

@ckverity9 surely that's if people have won? Op hadn't wagered the money but sometimes that is a requirement before they can withdraw.

Issue a final reminder: If no solution has been found on a factual level, the operator must be informed that from now on, if a reasonable problem solution is not offered or the money is not transferred within a week.

Is this in the UK? I seem to recall there are rules that changed (possibly the Gambling Commission) where bookmakers have to verify your identity before allowing you to deposit money and are not allowed to ask later as a stalling tactic for withdrawals.

Hello op, I’m sure you will get your money, but have you also signed up for Gamblers Anonymous etc? Not trying to shame you in anyway, but sounds like you could do with some support Flowers

To get started, I advise you to contact Helpline www.begambleaware.org Don't we know how to use Google? The internet is full of sites where you can file a complaint about a casino and get an answer. rubyfortunereviews.com , for example, on your casino site, where you can leave a review or complaint, there is supposedly an official representative who solves the problem. In general, playing in a casino is stupid!
