Few pence left on car (bank) loan after final payment?

I should have cleared a bank loan that was used to purchase a car this month but the last fixed payment has been taken still leaving a balance of a matter of pence- can anybody tell me what happens now? I would prefer to have it showing as cleared this month rather than next, but will they just take the few pennies on the normal payment date next month?

It's not a big deal of course but I suspected the hive mind would know if it will bog off this month or if I'll just have to wait til August and put my annoyance back in box 😂.

When this happened to us we received a final statement a few days after the final payment and they had written off the few pence. I had been wondering the same thing at the time.

Oh that would be good if it just sorts itself out like that! Will see what happens next week then 🙂

I've just checked again to see if it's changed and realised it's a positive balance so I've overpaid 🤦 so my worry about it not being cleared this month was pointless 😂
