Query re JSA and starting new job - can anyone help?

Hello, not sure if this is the right place to post, but hoping someone might be able to advise.

My DP was made redundant (thanks, Covid) and has been claiming JSA since January. He has been - thank goodness! - offered a new role with a start date of next Monday, subject to references. His JSA payment is on a Tuesday and due this coming week, does anyone know, will this be the last payment or is it paid in arrears? We will be fine if this is the last payment, just trying to figure out food shopping budget etc.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

JSA is usually paid fortnightly in arrears

Thanks so much for replying - so that would mean another payment in two weeks time, even though he would actually be working then? He won't get paid until the end of April so that would be super handy.

Yes op, the JSA claim will close on the date of the change in circumstances but any arrears should be paid

Brilliant, thank you so much. Sorry for being dim, this is all new, and we are so happy and grateful he has found a new post.
